2 Chechens not detained on Politkovskaya`s murder
"Novaya Gazeta", a Russian newspaper, says no Chechens have been detained on suspicion of Politkovskaya`s murder. Earlier newspapers published information, quoting anonymous source close to the investigation, that 2 Chechens have been detained after the analysis of pictures made by military satellite.
The Prosecutor General office refuses to give any comments on possible Chechens` arrest.
Politkovskaya, the citizen of the USA, practically unknown to common Russians, published acute articles on Chechnya, and is considered by the West as Putin`s fierce critic who suffered to Putin`s dictatorship. She was killed on Putin`s birthday and Western newspapers have enough shame to say her death was a present for Putin`s birthday.
In Russia we understand - there are many Putin critics, Politkovskaya`s having been not the main one. As well as Litvinenko who was of no interest to Russian special service. Putin would have hell of work killing all of them.
